The Right Repair Shop
Green Acres is one of the last neighborhood repair shops around. Nowadays cities are crowded with national repair chains that sometimes fail to be as easy to work with and utilize as a neighborhood shop. A local family owned and operated repair shop is hard to find - here you are a name, not a number. Rest assured Green Acres is here for you. We are newly renovated, invested in our community and still the cheapest oil change around!
We appreciate the opportunity to help you make informed decisions about your auto repairs and to help you choose the right repair shop. We understand that choosing the right repair shop can be confusing. In an effort to be both informative and helpful, we offer what we believe will help put your mind at ease about auto repair shops.
Common Concern #1
Does my car manufacturer specify regular maintenance schedules just to get me back into their repair shop so that they can make more money?
No. Cars are being made to last longer and require less maintenance, however they do require some preventative maintenance. Preventative maintenance is smart and when handled regularly you can expect your car to last over 100,000 miles without major service repairs. An example would be replacing various belts when they are worn instead of waiting until the belt breaks causing more extensive and expensive damage. Regular maintenance costs are generally less expensive than unexpected repair costs.
Common Concern #2
Can an auto repair shop give you an accurate price quote over the phone without physically seeing your car?
No. Some people waste a lot of time calling various shops to get the cheapest quote over the phone. This is never a good idea. Keep in mind that there is no way to accurately diagnose your problem over the phone. Beware of any shop that is willing to give you a quote over the phone without seeing your car.
Common Concern #3
Do most repair shops recommend extra work just to get you to spend money?
No. Most recommendations occur in an effort to prevent future potential problems. Keep in mind that a shop that DOES NOT look for potential problems is doing you a great disservice Remember uncovering potential problems and pointing out needed maintenance items now is most always less expensive than if you allow them to turn into major repair expenses later.
